Shop With a cop
The Salvation Army of St Croix County teamed up with municipal law enforcement officers from various communities in August to coordinate our "Shop With a Cop" event.
On August 24th, 11 children of Grace Place residents enjoyed the opportunity to spend positive time with deputies and officers from various communities in the county. Officers were invited to nominate children in their local municipalities that could benefit from this experience. A total of 42 children were able to take advantage of the opportunity
Each child was alloted money based on age and was sent shopping for back-to-school clothes and gym shoes under the supervision of a local police officer.
The program has been a huge success in other area since it promotes positive relationships between law enforcement officials and students whose lives have been disrupted by a variety of difficult circumstances
